MMC Grows Nutrition Services Membership Across Ontario
Mohawk Medbuy (MMC) is proud to celebrate the diverse group of organizations across Ontario that have joined our MEALsource nutrition procurement service over the past few months.
In November, we announced the Peterborough Regional Health Centre’s transition to our MEALsource service, providing access to contracts for over 1,000 products, including culturally appropriate food selections that meet the needs of their patients.
Since the Government of Ontario announced additional investment in the province’s student nutrition program earlier this year, we’ve welcomed the YMCA GTA, supporting student nutrition procurement in the Region of Peel.
We were also pleased to onboard the Regional Food Distribution Association, which assists with a variety of food programs in northwestern Ontario.
Most recently, Waypoint Centre for Mental Health became a MEALsource Member to support their provision of nutritious meals for their clients.
These organizations join hundreds of others across Canada that are benefiting from MMC’s not-for-profit, shared services structure. Mohawk Medbuy is also proud to partner with Nourish in supporting the Coolfood Pledge – working with our Nutrition Members to reduce food-related greenhouse gases.
Through our commitment to local, sustainable sourcing, and in collaboration with different levels of nutrition support services, we are strengthening our national food supply network together.
