The Middlesex Hospital Alliance Signs on to MMC’s Pharmacy Services

Mohawk Medbuy (MMC) is pleased to welcome the Middlesex Hospital Alliance (MHA) to our Pharmacy Services. The acute care provider is part of the growing number of Canadian organizations adopting MMC’s not-for-profit, shared services structure to help optimize cost savings and operational efficiencies.

The MHA operates 66 beds across two community hospital sites, providing comprehensive care for patients in four Southwestern Ontario counties. Through this agreement, the MHA will benefit from MMC’s large-scale purchasing power and advanced analytics to optimize its pharmaceutical supply chain.

MMC’s analytics also power MitigAID, an industry-leading program that reduces patient risk during manufacturer supply disruptions and automates reimbursement of the incremental cost of alternative products – saving time and administrative effort. Combined with MaaTRx, an AI-driven platform that can predict drug shortages in real time, hospitals benefit from proactive tools that help manage risk and maintain continuity of care for patients.
