Mohawk Medbuy Signs Agreement to Provide Warehousing & Logistics Services for Southwestern Ontario

Mohawk Medbuy (MMC), is expanding its provincial Warehousing & Logistics Services for London westward to enhance supply chain resiliency, improve service reliability and deliver cost efficiencies for hospitals across Ontario, building on the success of its extensive just-in-time, low-unit-of-measure service model to Member sites.

This expansion responds to requests from hospitals including London Health Sciences Centre, Windsor Regional Hospital, Bluewater Health, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Erie Shores Healthcare and others in the region. These organizations already rely on MMC’s national procurement contracts and have called for more robust logistics support.

To enable this growth, MMC will partner with Medline Canada, leveraging its Guelph-based Distribution Centre. Medline was selected following a rigorous, competitive RFP process initiated in fall 2025, ensuring a partner capable of delivering the high service levels and operational efficiencies that Ontario hospitals require.

“Dependable supply chain services are a critical component of our Members’ ability to deliver sustainable, quality care to their patients,” said Tony DiEmanuele, MMC President and CEO. “In response to Member requests for MMC to offer this service London westward, this expansion aligns with our multi warehouse expansion plan for the province to provide that surety of supply.”

“We’re very pleased to be partnering with MMC to support their Member hospitals in Southwestern Ontario,” said Ernie Philip, President of Medline Canada and Latin America. “Our collective supply chain expertise, capabilities and resources will enable us to provide service excellence and cost efficiencies that are so important to the health care sector. This is how we make healthcare run better.”

Implementation planning is underway, with transitions to the Medline Canada Distribution Centre expected to begin this fall.
