We are currently recruiting the following Senior Executive position:
Vice President, Pharmacy Services
Reporting to the President and CEO, the Vice President, Pharmacy Services will be responsible for developing, implementing and leading the “future state” of our Pharmacy portfolio through the execution of strategic initiatives that ensure best value; improving MMC’s market position in achieving new Member growth targets; and building and maintaining senior level relationships with stakeholders including industry, government and Members.
As a member of our Executive Leadership Team, the Vice President will also be responsible for managing the affairs of the Corporation as it relates to Pharmacy Service - Strategic, Operational and Fiscal. That includes organizing, programming and managing our Pharmacy team and divisional activities to align with corporate priorities, achieve company objectives and meet or exceed KPI targets for customer service levels.
Major Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Leadership & Change Management
Systematically cultivates and maintains long-term, collaborative relationship with key stakeholders and Member hospitals to achieve mutual goals and objectives
Models and reinforces a robust, customer centric culture both internally and externally that focuses on creating and delivering value to our member hospitals and related stakeholders
Supports growth opportunities, and proactively seeks out opportunities for enhanced services and strategic partnerships
Fosters a culture and working environment of continuous improvement
Establishes a vision to position the division for long term success in effectively and efficiently delivering value to our Members
Directs all aspects of effective, multi-year financial management and reporting, and information technology and human resources requirements for the division
Oversees resources with a high level of stewardship and ensures they align with the organization’s multi-year strategic plan
Supports customer relationship management and associated tracking and reporting through the Annual Service Plans by Member
Ensures that revenues fully address the Divisional operating budget
Supports the President & CEO and other senior leadership across the organization in aspects of strategic and operational planning
Develops and manages the division’s multi-year and annual operating and capital budgets
Creates a yearly, strategic Contract Plan, inclusive of Member spend, savings objectives and value-adds
Facilitates the development, maintenance and monitoring of all divisional plans
Ensures clarity, understanding and commitment from all stakeholders
Develops and manages integrated, strategy-aligned divisional work plans
Works with senior Member Committees on division strategy and implementation
Develops and implements innovative strategies that leverage the clinical expertise of Mohawk Medbuy, our Members and the vendor community to achieve solutions that improve patient outcomes
Enculturates a mindset of innovative, value-based sourcing with internal and external stakeholders to broaden the scope of opportunities available to address health care pain points and challenges.
Assesses and defines staffing and back-up requirements, succession plans and organization development opportunities
Recruits, mentors and coaches’ staff to ensure the highest competency and necessary skill sets to meet overall goals
Establishes a positive, healthy and safe work environment in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations
Promotes a culture of positive and equitable relations with staff to maximize employee engagement
Builds collaborative, high-performance teams
Supports the HR policies of the organization

The ideal candidate has the following experience, skills, competencies and attributes:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
Eligible for Ontario College of Pharmacists licensure (OCP)
Five (5) years’ experience in procurement of pharmaceuticals with progressive senior leadership roles in best practice environments in relevant industries such as health care, suppliers to hospitals/health care institutions or business process outsourcers. Experience in supply chain services is key.
Strong customer focus and service orientation; track record of developing successful customer relationships at varying organizational levels and with diverse needs and expectations.
Participated as part of a broader leadership team and contributed to the overall success of a business in addition to driving divisional results; an ‘integrator’ who shows commitment to corporate objectives and who aligns and communicates organizational objectives across divisional and functional boundaries.
Energized – exhibit a positive, “can do” attitude; solutions-oriented self-starter who proactively contributes to the operating environment; clarifies roles and responsibilities and contributes own fair share of effort.

Compelling presenter with strong verbal and written communication skills
Either Burlington or London office (regular travel between both offices will be required)
