Analyst Spend Analytics - 18-Month Contract

We are currently recruiting an 18-Month Maternity Leave Placement for Analyst Spend Analytics to support our Spend Analytics Team.
Summary of Position:
Providing support to the Director Spend Analytics, the Analyst is responsible for updating and maintaining product and spend database modules; Data mining and analysis to extract appropriate information for reporting to all internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Maintain, update and audit the product repository which is used for internal and external consumption
Analysis of products by category, manufacturer, and vendor
Cleansing of data
The Extract Translate Load (ETL) system acquires, associates and integrates external data utilizing member transactions, member contracts, data validation jobs, and vendor responses
Analyze and cleanse records that are not automatically associated
Reporting for various areas, meeting deadlines and following defined processes to ensure accuracy
Data mining and analysis for inclusion in reports for internal and external stakeholders
Update spend and items in ERP system for RFx processes
New opportunity identification
Data Stewardship – Monitor inputs into NAV ERP system for various areas such as:
Local (Member) contracts
Continuously improve the customer experience through strategic interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
Education – Community College or equivalent (3 years), Business, Accounting or Health Informatics education would be an asset
Experience – Over 2 years with relational database – proprietary or otherwise
Some Financial (accounts receivable/payable)
Manipulation and analysis of data using a variety of software tools
Problem solving and research skills
Demonstrated knowledge in all facets of MS Office and electronic communication
Excel advanced level and Access intermediate level
Ability to interpret data, problem solve and formulate decisions
Ability to communicate effectively, persuasively and respectfully with all levels of the organization
Interest in or knowledge of healthcare products is an asset
